SB19, a boy band hailing from the Philippines, comprises of five talented members—Pablo, Stell, Ken, Justin, and Josh.

In 2016, South Korean entertainment company ShowBT branched out in the Philippines and opened a talent audition for Filipino performers looking to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.

Before their official debut, the boys underwent extensive training at ShowBT Philippines Corp., which follows the renowned Korean Idol system known for its emphasis on overall holistic development.

The SB19 members frequently reminisce about the arduous sessions they endured: countless hours of relentless and unpaid training each day, all while balancing their other commitments.

However, it was not just the training that stuck with them; it was the constant fear of failing their regular evaluations and the potential of being eliminated.

After undergoing multiple assessments and completing three years of rigorous training, it was Pablo (who debuted under the stage name Sejun), along with Stell, Ken, Josh, and Justin, who successfully met the cut.

Pablo assumes the role of the leader and contributes as the primary rapper, assisting in the composition and production of the group's music.

Stell takes on the position of the main vocalist and also showcases his talents as the lead dancer.

Ken shines as the primary dancer while also impressing as the lead vocalist.

Josh excels as the lead rapper while also serving as a sub-vocalist.

Lastly, Justin, the youngest member of the group, as a sub-vocalist.

Together, this extraordinary group of individuals pushed the boundaries of music and constantly challenged themselves to explore new genres.

Their journey was far from easy, but with each hurdle they faced, they grew stronger and more determined. They overcame doubts, critics, and setbacks, all the while staying true to themselves and their music.

The "SB" in SB19 actually originated from the initials of ShowBT, the esteemed company that brought this phenomenal group to life.

The number "19" in SB19 is actually derived from the country codes of both the Philippines and South Korea.

The Philippines' country code is +63, while South Korea's is +82.

When you add these numbers together (6+3+8+2), they sum up to 19, symbolizing the harmonious collaboration between the two countries.

The members added that “SB” also stands for “Sound Break", as it embodies the group's primary goal - to break barriers and make waves in the Philippine and international music scene.

The official fandom name of SB19 is called “A’Tin”.

The word A'TIN is similar to the word "eighteen" in English, and in Tagalog, it means "ours."

During a Facebook Live video, the group's leader, Pablo, expressed his gratitude towards their fanbase, stating that SB19's success would not have been possible without them.

He lovingly said,

"We are SB19 because of you, A'TIN!"
